    OK to shorten power cord?
Prob a silly question but we have 16 CCTV cameras. All have 4 foot line from "wall wart" to power connection on siamese cable, would it hurt anything to shorten the power line to only 1 foot? ( shorten by cut & splice)
    Thanks

Not a problem electrically, but assuming that the cords were not intended by the manfactuer to be cut and spliced in the field you are probably violating the product warranties, and any UL listing on the cords would no longer be valid.
