Need a quick answer about a Pastor who isn't a great boss!
Our assoc. pastor ended up making arrangements with a wedding couple for a change in time for their rehearsal. The problem is, I'm doing the sound for the rehearsal, and I wasn't asked if I could make the time change. It seems to (again) have been "overlooked" that this would affect me. What do I do??

I think you posted something before about this guy. What did you do the first time you asked for advice on this forum?

He's putting the parishoners first as he should.
Were you able to make it?
This kind of haggling is the worst thing that can happen in a church. I think you don't like this assoc. pastor. One of you should move on.

Do what you can to make it work.

The couple sets the time with the pastor, I am surprised they even have the sound person there, but you will be toldof the change, if you can't make it, they get another sound person, that is what happens in the churches I go with.

No, the couple sets the time with me. I book their time for their wedding, and I DO need to be at the rehearsal, because it's the rehearsal, I run their music, open up the church, take care of whatever they may need. So initially, the time was set with me, it just didn't get communicated to me that the time changed.

I spoke to a councelor, and she suggested one of the board members speak to us individually, but that hasn't happened yet.

I'd like to make sure we do all we can to make this work before someone leaves. It hasn't gotten to that point yet, thankfully. God did a real softening in my heart, but there's still these type of issues that keep coming up, and I'm confused with what to do

Sometimes the only thing you can do, is your job to the best of your ability. Things happen, and we have to make some very stressful adjustments. Its needed, as all plans don't go smoothly.
