    Wiring a bathroom light/fan/heater combo
I am upgrading my fan/light combo to a light/fan/heater combo in our bathroom. I have installed the unit in the ceiling and am preparing to wire it in. I would like to use a combination 3 switch allowing for the different components to be controlled separately. This, I hope will also allow me to connect the light strip and the ceiling fan light to run from the same switch.
My problem is that, well wiring looks like spaghetti to me. Give me plumbing any day. I need someone to explain this wiring process to me.
What I have in place is the wiring from the old fan/light combo and wiring from the separate lighting strip. The house is wired without conduit so I can run additional wire to the unit.
The switch I would like to use is a Leviton combination 3 switch

    HELP
    Thanks

    John,
You didn't provide enough information to accurately answer your question.
    1. The switch box for working all the items is 2 gang-3 gang?
    2. The wire (cable) going from the switch box to the old fan/light is 3 wires (red/black/white)-2 wires (black/white)?
    3. The link for the switch you want to use is dead.
    4. What is the wattage of the heating on the new unit?
    5. What other items are on the same power circuit (breaker) as the bathroom?
    Will await your reply.

    KISS

My reccommendation which is difficult but extremely workable:

    1. Use a mechanical timer for the heater (20-30 min max).
    2. Put the ventilation on a 15 minute delay on break timer. This allows the fan to run for 20 minutes or so after it is turned off.
    3. I use a dual switch that mounts in a single box with the mechanical timer box mounted above.
    4. The problem is where to put the delay on break timer which is about 3 x 3 x 1" (guess).
