Hello,

My husband and I would be travelling to Monaco , Monte carlo in France on 23 Nov. While he would be busy with his seminar I would have all the time in the world. Basically reach Nice on 23 Nov noon and fly out on 28 Nov morn. Now can someone sugest things for me to do there and where all can I travel from Monaco > 27 Nov (Thur) we are planning to go to Paris (which I guess is about 7 hours drive) How do we get there an what can I do during the day while he is busy ////// Thanks!!

First of all, Monaco is it's own country, separate from France (Much like the Vatican).

As glamourous as it seems, I advise against Monte Carlo casino. When I went you get charged 10euros for entry, then there was only 2 roulette tables and a card table in a room for the tourists. It's not all glitz and glamour.

Nice itself is a lovely city, and you can get there by train very cheaply (or you could in November 2007). The old town is really nice(no pun intended), and if you like modern art then MAMAC is worth a visit.

Further down the coast there's Marineland, with dolphin and orca shows, shark tunnel, etc. You can take the train to Biot and then it's within about 10 minutes walking distance

There's also a zoo at St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat between Monte Carlo and Nice, where a couple of lemurs wander around the zoo
