    Snapper Tractor won't turn left...
    I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the steering linkage of a front engine Snapper Tractor Model #LT14H331KV. Just started mowing today and the silly thing quit turning left. The steering wheel when turned left seems to hop in place instead of catching to turn the wheels left and I can't see under the mower to see what's going on.

    I don't have a maintenace manual but I need to get one. I don't even know how old the mower is, it was given to me a couple years ago by family and this is the first problem I have really had other than general maintenace issues.

    Any help that I can get I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

    No, it's a front engine Kohler.

    Well, sorry no pics... but I would go around and check the links, make sure a tie rod didn't pop off at the connections, the little ball at the end of them will wear out and after a while they will pop off.

    Hi Webhead,

    Did you ever get your trouble fixed? I am having this same trouble. I have done the tear down and know what the trouble is. The trouble is... I don't know what the part names are or the part numbers. Yes I too have the LT14H331KV series Snapper tractor. I will attempt to attach a picture. Maybe this will add value:)

    I had removed the gas tank, BTRY, and the plate they sat on.
    ~~~can't upload the pics because the exceed the 238k limit. Oh well.
    If anyone knows what part numbers I need please let me know.
    Thanks
    Tony
    I have since found out after tearing it apart that the frame that holds the stationary steering gear has busted. One of the ears that the gear bolts too has busted due to rust or some other reason. I'm going to get my buddy to tear it down and see if we can't modify or engineer a bracket to hold the gear in a better position. I'm sure the frame piece would cost a fortune.
    Check with your local Snapper dealer. Mine made a blow up copy out of their parts book and it tells you what parts are called and part numbers to order them.
    Good Luck.
