    Assalaam alaikum,

My opinion is that if your doing anything that is not wrong in any sense than you are following your religion.
Insuring yourself for the betterment or for better future of your mother, father, wife, children that is not against any religion.

Death and Life is uncertain(Gamble if you think).
And if don't your duties for your mother father wife and children than that is against your religion.
Primary concern of the religion is for betterment of family, neighbours and society.
If you failed to do that than that is against religion.
But positively thinking says that there is a middle way between the uncertainty to certainty, and that is securing your future by Insurance.
Today we can't predict about tomorrow whether we will see the tomorrow sunrise or not.
So, It is our duty to make good decision to take care of our people first than religion.

Hope you get something positive in this.
    If you like reply must.
    Allah Hafiz.
