    Stepchild rights to a will
My father passed away 5 years ago.He left a will making me executor of his estate. After his death my stepmother changed his will, and made my fathers brother executor of her will. What rights do I have, if any? There are 2 diamond rings in the safe deposit box that I gave my father to hold for me. Do I have the right to get them even after probate?

Your rings are yours and not part of probate if you gave them to him to hold for you. They are not part of the estate.

Actually no, your stepmother can not change his will after his death, that is fraud and illegal, you would have at this point, file in probate court to have the mothers frauded paper work declared invalid.

You will need to prove they are your rings in the box.

But again, they can not just change the will
