Do I close the valves before I bleed the system
I have a hot water base board heating system. I bled the system now I am not getting heat through the three unit house. I must have bled it wrong? I can hear the water trying to move but it doesn't move through the pipes because the pipes don't get hot. When bleeding the system should I close the valves and once the water has no spurts of air, stop the bleeding and put the valve in an on position?

First you need to find out if you have a automatic water feeder on your system or if you add water manually with just a plain old water valve.
