    Will cervical dysplasia return?
In September 2006 I was treated with cryosurgery for abnormal cells caused by mild cervical dysplasia. I went back every 6 months for 2 years and all my pap smears were normal. I had an abnormal pap in September 2008, I still don't know what was the cause of that I have to wait until February to find out. I was wondering though, am I going to have this problem for the rest of my life? Say when I'm 40 years old (I'm 19 right now) will it return? Or is it possible it will never return?

There will always be a chance of it returning. Having abnormal cells is not unusual (many women will have it at some time or another) and usually not a major concern, but of course it has to be taken seriously and checked on. You may never have an issue with it again, or you might.
Having your regular exams and making good lifestyle choices are the two things you can do to stay on top of anything that may develop.

Oh OK, thank you. Do you know if it will make a difference if I only have sex with one person for the rest of my life? Or would that not effect it?

Having just one sex partner for the rest of your life is one of the main things you can do to lessen the odds of reoccurance.
