    Gaf-Elk StormGuard,Liberty Under roof
    Holy confusion.

A couple years ago I used Liberty Self Adhesive Membrane under my tile roof. It doesn't leak, the I got confused because I saw storm guard at Home Depot. So I called Gaf-Elf (the manufacturer) the lady on the phone said, I should not have used Liberty under anything it's for stand alone installations (nothing on top of it) she said I should have used Storm Guard, but this is only for eaves and rakes, she said for under the tiles I should have used a special product UnderRoof? Which I can't find? So, my question is: Is there a product that I can use for my entire roof to protect against leaks? If so have any of you used them. If, I use storm guard on only my eaves and rakes, then what # felt should I use. I want to do this right the first time, and want something durable and thick.

... and yes I realize, that if any system is done wrong it won't work :) Thanks in advance

Last Question: What is the process from the wood decking up, Is it Drip Edge, Storm Guard, Starter Strip, Shingle?

    Thanks again

Most manufacturers prefer #30 felt paper.

    Yes, from decking,drip edge,Ice and water shield,starter course,shingle.

Ice and water shield in valleys.

Today they have a product called Titanium URL,it is a plastic, base sheet, installed with simplex nails only, supposed to last extremely long.

I am using it today on shake installations, seems to be doing what it says it should.
