Ok... I know I'm stupid I realize that. I was at Walmart and something just came over me and I tried to steal some eyeshadow and ribbon. The guy said since it was under $20 and my first time he was giving me a "warning" He took all my info and said I was going to go into the retailers shoplifting list. My question is will this go on a background check? Im trying to become a teacher and don't want that to come up. Will they send me anything? They didn't make me sign anything just let me go. I know I was stupid... I just recently got married and my husband and in laws and my family would kill me if they ever found out. Do you think Im going to be OK?

I don't think you have to worry about a record and being charged. It sounds like the theft amount was too small for them even bother with.
