    Taps problems
When the kitchen taps running water, the bathroom tap won't and visa versa?

What material are your pipes? Copper? Plastic or galvanized? How old is your house? Thos is a volume problem where one faucets works just fine but if another's opened it diverts water from the first faucet so both can not work at the same time. Most of the time this indicates a repipe job's just around the corner. Good luck, Tom

    Hot water pressure
If the hot and cold water is running in the downstairs toilet, the kitchen hot water drops pressure to a trickle but cold stays fine??

This is a volume problem. Are any other faucets affected when you open more then one hot water faucet? Let me know, Tom

This tells me that the two are on the same branch. This bramch has to be clogged up with mineral build up to reduce volume the way it does. I would shut the water off to the kitchen faucet and see if I could flush out the hot water line to the kitchen. You may have to nremove the angle stop under the cabinet as well when you flush the hot water branch out. Good luck, Tom
