    Ectopic Pregnancy?
Last month I missed my period, I had unprotected sex on the 4th October, I know.. Stupid thing to do, & I was due on the 25th October but it didn't come although I experienced period pains.
I didn't think anything of it because I usually have irregular periods due to polycistic overies although I had my period 2 months before that. I noticed a spot of blood on the 28th. I started getting pregnancy symptoms, cravings, feeling tired, sick, abdominal pain, back pains and sharp pains in my breasts..
Its only just accured to me that I could be pregnant, I came on my period yesterday morning and the day before that I was in excrusiating pain, my ovaries ache and in I'm pain nearly all the time.
My GP isn't open tomorrow, so I'll have to make an appointment and go on Thursday. If I am having an ectopic pregnancy, I won't have to have an operation if I was only 4 weeks gone would I?
Also, if anyone has experienced the same thing or thinks it could be something else, please tell me?

If you have polycystic ovaries it could be nothing more than a cyst that burst. If it was ectopic you would be in excruciating pain. When the fallopian tube bursts with an ectopic pregnancy the pain is gone, but you are very sick.

If by chance you do have an ectopic pregnancy you will have to have surgery to have it removed, but I believe the chance that you have an ectopic is slim.

How long do you think the pain will last and will I get prescripted painkillers for it? Should I take painkillers now?

You need to get it checked out now. If it is an ectopic and ruptures, your life could be in danger. However, with your history of PCOS, I tend to lean more that way.

However, since I don't know your medical history and cannot do a physical exam, I cannot suggest anything more than going to the local emergency room if your doctor is not open until Thursday.

Okay, thank you for your reply. Very quick.
First thing tomorrow I shall try and book an emergency appointment.
