Do I need to completely remove the bed from my 1994 Chev 4X4 truck in order to get to the gas tank to change the fuel pump? Do I have to then take the tank off? My Hanes manual doesn't cover any of this.

You should be able to drop the tank from below, Of course this is predicated on how much fuel you have left in the tank. Might be easier to remove the truck bed and simply open up the tank. Since in tank fuel pumps are rather expensive, you might search out a frame mounted pump and just get rid of the in tank pump.
