91 honda cranks and sparks but won't start!
I have a 1991 honda civic with a 1.5 in it. Here is my problem, it cranks and sparks but won't start. I have replaced the fuel pump and filters three times. I opened the top to the throttle body and poured some fuel in and it started and stayed running for about 15 to 30 seconds without pressing the gas. It is fuel injected. I have also replaced the fuel injectors. It still isn't getting any fuel. I am completely lost on this one and I need some help!!

. Test all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter:

Same thing happened to my 91 DX. Pleanty o' spark but no gas. Finallysprayed some aerasol starter fluid into the air intake and engine wold run so long as the fluid was sprayed. I read my HAYNES Manual and the CHILTON'S Manual. The procedure is to remove the rear seat and expose the fuel pump connections. Turn the key to "ON" and listen at the pump for the 2-second whirring sound meaning the pump is puwering up. Test the Black-Yellow" wire for current failing these you must locate the MAIN RELAY which is located under the dash on the driver's side. There are some specific diagnostic tests you must do using a voltometer. Remove the relay from its harness and direct wire two of the terminals to the battery for power. The RELAY must be tested for continuity WITH POWER being supplied! If the relay fails (as mine did) pay the $50 for a newOEM or aftermarket relay. Replace the new relay and your HONDA WILL START!! Mine was sitting for over a year while I replaced everything under G_d's creation to no avail. Thank goodness it wasn't the fuel pump. I wasn't looking forward to having to drop the Gas tank tor replace it. My little Civic is now running like a top. Starts every time... you're welcome!!
