Can a friendship come out of this?
Hi all. Ive posted many blogs here about me and my ex.I have to say that finally am stress free?I over my ex!! And its all thanks to this site. Just to give you a heads up on what's going on my ex still calls me every other day. I wonder why? We haven't seen each other for 3 months but there's not one week that goes by that she doesn't text or call to see how am doing or what's new in my life. Does the girl still love me? Why is the reason for the contact. Am open to have a solid friendship with her but I don't know how to do it. Do u think she would be up for a friendship. The reasojn I don't want to ask her is because she would think I am playing reverse pycology here. At the time am dating someone else. She doesn't know about it but should I tell her? What you guys think. Am trying to avoid hurting anyone. Is that he case in my situation? What reasons would an ex still call?

If she is still calling you that often then I have no reason to believe she doesn't still have feelings for you. It's your move from here. It is a tough call to make and I don't now either of you, so I can't really say what I think you should do.

I just don't want to hurt her in any way. The reaosn I still want her in my life as a friend is because we know each other for 5 years.. best friends at first and then a relationship.but I want what's best for both.more for her than me cause I've moved on.

I forgot to add that she came back to me twice and backed out again because she can't get over our past. But still keeps in touch... dont know why if her decision was so solid!

Five years is a long time to be in a relationship, and it usually takes more than 3 months to be over it. I just don't think now would be the time for either of you to enter into a 'friendship,' no matter how much you think you have moved on. I think most people forget when you break up with someone, they aren't your friend... they are your ex. And it needs to stay like that for a long time.

No way do you break NC. Because your feeling better, and doing things, keep doing it.

Nows not the time to revisit the drama of the past, and jeopardizes the peace you have found. Don't look back no matter how tempting you think it is.
