    Will the lights dim?
I will be installing 4 single flouresant lamp "shop" lights and 5 garage doors. I am thinking about running just 1 20 amp circuit to feed everything. When one of the garage doors is used, will it effect the lights at all? Im worried about the lights dimming while the door is being opened/shut. Or should I just go ahead abd keep the lights separate from the doors all together?

    Many thanks.

You need to look at the load. Lights should not dim. If the load is exceeded, the breaker will trip.

It's a good idea to keep the lights separate. Suppose you were using power tools in the garage and you tripped a breaker. The lights would stay on.

Many thanks, I wasn't thinking about the breaker tripping. I will just run different circuits.
