    My cars front suspension.
I have a 2002 chevy Impala Ls Sedan. When I turn the steering wheel and back up and then put it in drive and take off the message center says Traction Activated, and when I make a turn or go around a slow curve the front end makes a whining sound. What could that be? Thank you, Trebor

Had a similar thing happen on my wife's 2003 impala ls. There are wires that go to the front wheels can't remember the exact term, for the part that the wires go to,but she had picked up something in the road that damaged these wires. Brought it to the shop and they repaired the wires. Hope it helps .

The Traction Activated message will likely require hands-on diagnosis. There may be a code stored for the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS). At least the technician can monitor scan tool data while performing the same driving maneuvers.
As for the whining sound, can you tell if that is coming from simply turning the steering wheel? Or is it possibly coming from a front wheel bearing?
