Do you have to take the bed of 1994 Chevrolet truck to change a fuel pump that's in the gas tank? If so, where are the straps and how do you take them off.

The tank is held in place with straps. The bed is bolted to the frame. To me as far as easy,its easier to unbolt the bed ,lift it up and support it well,then simply take the old pump assembly out and install the new one.after the bed is raised up,its right there on top of the tank.

Look in the bed to find the bolts for the bed.
