Gas Tank collapse on John Deere riding lawn mower
My gas tank on my John Deere riding lawn mower collapsed in on itself. After I removed the cap and carefully adding some gas in sprang back in shape. Does anyone know why this occurred.

    Hello btrantha:

The Cause is the Gas Tank Cap is Not Venting Properly and the Fuel Pump is Drawing the Gas Out and No Air is being Vented into the Tank so the Tank Collapsed. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

    Good Luck

    Respectfully

The gas tank cap has a small hole in it. It needs to be clear.
