I am a delivery driver. I went to deliver a pizza last night, got to the house, and when I got back to my car, it started but wouldn't accelerate. If I ush the accelerator it sputters and dies, but sometimes it will rev up. Help please.

Also thought I should mention, it is a 1994 BMW 530i Wagon

Check your cold air induction like a pulled off intake hose getting un metered air.
Next, crap gas=clogged fuel filter/injectors just to name a few.
Also, ignition components go bad when heated up, then can act fine when cools down.
Did you have to have it towed, or did it nurse home OK?

I had it towed. It is also on E.

I should say also, it has the computer system that senses the range of the fuel I have left so I know it isn't out of gas.
