I suspect the key was left turned on and the battery is dead.Can you try to jump or charge the battery or do you need to replace it? Thanks for your help.

Yes, you can charge the battery, if it has not sat in an uncharged state for an extended period. It can also be jumped, though do it with the engine not running to limit the available amperage.
