My son is 2yrs 7 months old and he won't hardly say anything. I had him in speech therpy but it didn't seem to be working so I took him out. We did a hearing check and that was fine. All the doctors say is to keep him in speech therpy but it wasn't helping. He is not around any other children and I try to read to him and get him to repeat words that I know he knows but he just "babbles" like in his own language and I am not sure what to do. His doctor says that there is nothing wrong with him but I am still worried can someone help me?

There are two mistakes you can definitely correct. 1) he needs speech therapy. If one thereapist does not work get another.
2) he needs to be exposed to other children. Go to some mommy and me classes or sign him up for preschool. Some will be taken at 2 years 9 months.

He probably should be re-evaluated.
