    For 1.

    What a question! The room temperature of chlorine, bromine and iodine are all at room temperature. Well, I guess you meant the physical states of these substances at room temperature. Well, in the periodic table, you'll notice that elements generally become 'more solid' down groups.

    And if you didn't know, chlorine is a gas, bromine a liquid, and iodine a solid.

    For 2.

    What do you think the metal is? Obviously, is is a transition element since it gives coloured compounds in sodium hydroxide ( I don't think it is sodium hydrogen)

    For 3.

    Do you know how to collect gases?

    There is;
    1. By bubbling the gas through water, water displacement.
    2. By upward delivery, or downward displacement of air.
    3. By downward delivery, or upward displacement of air.

    Now choose, and post back.

    For 4.

    What is rust? If you can answer this, you'll be able to answer your question. Again, post back to confirm.

    For 5.

    That, you need a metal which is higher than iron in the reactivity series. Careful, a too reactive one is dangerous. As a hint, this process is used to remove the oxide from railings (train railings)

    And your last one;

    Write at least an equation. If you don't know, you must know that any metal oxide when reacted with an acid will give a salt (derived from the acid) and water.
