    Hi there,

I'm not a pro at this, but I have a friend at work who is, and he said the Sony is better because Sony is a pioneer in LCD screens and their panels are awesome, while Samsung is good for mass produced stuff, and they are good, but the Sony will have better quality and the life of the screen will last longer, so in his opinion and therefore mine, go for the Sony

I was going to pick Sony too but I thought the more expensive items are the better they are.

    Well thanks a lot

GET THE SONY!! I bought a Samsung 40 inch 1080I LCD about 2 years ago They had to replace it 3 times Before I got a working one. I wanted to get the Bravia but it was to expensive at the time.

    Hello:

I just got a 42" Bravia. I love it. I also liked the Samsung, but given what spit just said about them, I just got lucky.

It was on sale at Best Buy for around $1,100. That was before our meltdown. I'll bet it's cheaper now.

First time the HDMI port blew out took about 4 weeks to replace. Then two weeks after the new one arrived the RGB processor blew out (I think) everything on the screen had a green or red glow around it. That took another 4 weeks to replace. Then they gave me a better model with two HDMI ports and it has worked fine for a year and a half. But yeah go with the Bravia.

Go for the Samsung 786.. BTW for all those above , Samsung manufactures the LCD;s for Sony in the same plant . Value for money, features I would recommend a Samsung, brand image it would be Sony
