I need to get out of my lease due to an abusive relationship. Was told by rental agency I had to honor the lease. What are my options?

Who is on the lease, you and the other person ? Is the other person still living in that apartment, Have you gotten a restraining or order of protection against them, get them moved out and you keep the place.

But you are required to honor your lease

Call the housing authority. They should be able to give you the legal avenues available to you, if any.
