Using fan with three wires...
From fan:
1. black marked LIGHT KIT
2. black plain not marked
3. white marked NEUTRAL


Hunter remote unit

Five wires:

1. RED - marked - light out
2. Black - marked - FAN
3. White - marked - Common

4. Black -marked - LIVE IN
5. White - marked NEUTRAL


Wires from ceiling box :

1. White
2. Black


That is scenario... instructions are not working.

Instructions say:

Red from remote to black from lite
Black from remote to fan
White from remote to common

Black hot to black ceiling black
White to white ceiling

Cut breaker back on and nothing...

Then connected all whites and all blacks togther... and red lite and black lite... got fan to run on high but no lights...

If I understand you correctly then your wiring is OK. I would check and make sure the light is connected in the fan's switch housing and is switched on. Can you get the fan to change speeds?

I've joined to make sure I can post... I struggled with the same issue! Here is the solution (not just what I think it is... ). Please note that my install was a Hunter Regazia fan and the Hunter remote

Hopefully you're not stumped by the Black (hot) and White Neutral to the ceiling Black and White. For the Three transmitter wires;
Red = Black / White from Fan (light)
Black = Solid Black from Fan (Fan)
White (Common) to white from Fan

That wiring is correct.
