    Could I be bipolar?
How can I get an idea of whether I might be bipolar? I know you need to see a doctor to know for sure, but I just want to know if it could be a possibility before I go through the trouble of seeing a doctor.

I feel depressed and worthless a lot of the time. But sometimes I just can't stop talking to people. I make poor decisions for no apparent reason even though I know they're wrong. I have a lot of trouble sleeping and usually have to take medicine just to fall asleep. Even then, I stay up really late even when I have to wake up early in the morning. By night time though, I'm still not tired enough to go to sleep at a good time. I don't know what all this means? Should I get it checked out or am I just imagining things?

When do you do 'stupid things'? When you are feeling depressed or when you are 'flying high'- if you get my meaning.

I usually plan to do them when I'm feeling depressed and just need to get away. But when I'm actually doing it or about to, I feel like I'm on top of the world and could never be happier. Then afterwords when I realize it was stupid or something bad happened because of it, I feel depressed again.
