Barkley is almost 6 months old, we have had him about 2 months... he understands that he is to go outside to pee and poop, but lacks the discipline if we can't keep our eyes on him all the time. We always keep him in the room with us that we are in at the time, but if we leave or go to do something else, he will have an accident sometimes. He has now peed on our couch twice this week... imagine how frustrating. He is a fun dog to have and has a lot of character, but we want to be able to trust him not to sneak away and do his business in the house.

We are probably going to fence our yard so he can be outside most of the time, since his breed is suited for being outside.

Anyone with advice would be awesome, especially if you have experience with beagles.
