    Theft over $5000 first offense
My sister stole money from her employeer and it was right over $5000. It is her first offense and she admitted this to her employeer. The police called her wanting her to come to the police station in a couple of days to talk to her. They said they would just ask her some questions and then she was free to go. She is going to let them know what happened. She is trying to find out if she can plead guilty or no contest and not have to go to court? I have been trying to find out some information for her but am having trouble finding any info for her.

Ok, as soon as she confesses at the police station they will handcuff her and put her in jail.
    Police lie,

And no she will be arrested, have to make bail, then there will be a first appearance, and normally at least two more before she is sentenced.

Next why no contest, if she is confessing, that will be used in civil case anyway.

But she should not do anything without an attorney

I have a friend that told me he has been stealing a lot of money from his work. His boss questioned him about it but couldn't prove it. But he is still doing it I've tried to tell him to stop or to confess but he won't. It is way over $5000 and its his first offence but it wasn't all stolen at once. I need some help working out what punishment or how much time in jail he might get if he confesses and the same if he gets caught before I can get him to confess

Héy the police are investigating a theft over 5000, they haven't found out that I did it yet but are looking at video and talking to businesses. If they find out it was me what's the most probable thing that's going to happen to me? I'm a first offender and 23 yrs old and live in ontario. Also what should I do if I get taken to the police station for questions?

To everyone - hire the best Attorney you can afford. Over $5,000 is a serious ballgame.
