I moved this to the Family law forum where it belongs. There are hundreds of threads here all with the same question.

Bottomline is he won't be allowed to relinquish his rights. A TPR is only granted under specific circumstances as you will find out by browsing the threads.

No he will not have to pay child support. He just want to get out of being a dad to him.I would never give up my right to my kids

This is NOT accurate. The laws vary from state to state. In some states when a TPR is granted, support does end. However, in those states it makes it even harder to get a TPR.

This is the second time you have posted highly inaccurate info. We pride ourselves on the accuracy of the advice we give. Please be careful to be sure of your facts when posting.

Hello, first in almost no case can he give up his rights, and never without your permission.

Now if you have a new partner that wants to adopt, he can sign his rights over then, to allow the adoption and then his child support will end.

There are reasons in some states you can "take" his rights away at times,

But in the end just because he does not want to be the dad, sorry he can not just give up his rights, He does not have to visit, you can not force him to call the child, but he can not give up his child support
