At present I'm holding a valid H1B visa, I haven't travelled to US using the same, I'm married and my husband is in US, with the L1B visa, I'm planning to travel to US a dependent. I intend to work in US, is it possible for me to tavel with L1B visa and then transfer the H1B to another employer tehre in US?

L-1's dependent visa is L-2. You can enter US with L-2 but you cannot file H-1 transfer. You can file for a transfer only after you have worked on H-1 for a while.
