value of 1917 White family Rotary sewing machine
I was just given a white family rotary tredle sewing machine, in the cabinent. It included all the extra attatchments, in the original black metal labeled container, as well as the owners/user manual. It has some minor water damage to the rear of the cabinent, and the cover, its wood vanier. The machine is in great shape, and fully functions! The decals are in OK shape, and all the iron is excellent. I love it, so Im not selling, I just want to know a value. Thanks!

    Hi, bugs1momma!

As I'm sure that you know, it's difficult to come up with monetary values for these kinds of things because how much they are worth monetarily is so greatly dependent upon what someone would want to pay for them.

As such, there really isn't some sort of set, standard values. This being unlike some other types of collectibles such as coins, currency, furniture and visual artwork by known and established artists.

If you click on the following links, you will find some that might be like yours that are for sale. You might get some idea as to the monetary value of yours by seeing what others are willing to pay for them.

Since yours already appears to be in great condition and has so many attachments, is fully functional with a manual to boot, then I would think that a price in the several hundred dollar range wouldn't be out of line. Since you already love it, then it is priceless! I have a couple of very old grand pianos in my living room. To most people, they wouldn't be worth all that much monetarily. But, since I love both of them, they fit exactly the kind of décor that I have and serve the purpose for which I have them extremely well, and they are both once-in-a-lifetime finds, then they are priceless.

If you could post some images of it here, that would be helpful. I, for one, would really like to see it. I also could give you some advice as to what to do about the minor water damage since part of what I do for a living is refinish and touch-up furniture.

    Thanks!
