Just installed a new tub and surround. When taking a shower it fills up with about 8 inches of water before it will drain. It drains very slow and then when it gets to a certain level it will go out. Is this a venting problem?

How much pitch/slope did you put on the tub drain? Sounds like it could be pitched the wrong way. Did you have this issue before the new tub?

I didn't have this problem before. I did replace all the pipe, that could be the problem. I will look into it and let you know. Thanks.

If you can still reach the horizopntal drain it should slop away from the tub. You have a 2" drain so the slope is 1/4" per foot.
