Clothes dryer not drying in the Automatic Permanent Press cycle
I have a Frigidaire FDE7977ESO clothes dryer that does not generate heat to dry the clothes when utilizing the Automatic Permanent Press cycle.
The dryer works on other settings at the middle heat setting, but I don't believe it works on the hot setting.
    Any suggestions?

Would the sensor be located in the air exit tube? How is the sensor tested and replaced?

The sensors can be located in the nonrotating drum area itself or in the hot air duct system. As far as testing you would need the service manual for your exact model number which I do not have. I would also like to mention that any switches in the PP circuit could also be causing a problem. Those can be tested since they are just off and on type switches. The sensor has reading level in OHM's which takes the knowledge of the rate of the sensor in ohm's to be able to test it. That info should be in the service manual.

There is usually a electrical wiring diagram on the back or on the door that opens to access the burner.
