    Double payment on garnishment allowed
I live in Colorado and my employer failed to make the first garnishment. Now the second month has rolled around and the debit collector is stating that I have to pay two months worth of garnishment payments. Can they do this? This is not a federal debit

Why would you think you could just skip a payment just because your employer failed to take it out and no send it to them? No, you can't just go and skip a payment, sorry.

Well for one, this was not my fault that my employer did not make the correct arraignment. And two, this is more than the maximum 25% of my so called discretionary income on a monthly basis.

Actually the law requires your company to pay if they don't hold it out as required, I am surprised the company does not merely ask you to repay the garnishment that was suppose to come out.
