Blacklight tattoos. Are they safe? How do they do them?
My friend and I heard about blacklight tattoos and we thought they sounded awsome! However, we don't know if the ink is safe or how you get them. Does anyone know anything about them? What are the risks of blacklight tattoos? And How do you get them (needle?)?

The ink commonly used is Chameleon Blacklight Tattoo Ink, and it's been FDA approved since 1995, and has had no reported adverse reactions in over ten years, so it is considered to be very safe. There is no difference in getting a blacklight tattoo or a regular tattoo, other than the possibility that the artist will be working with a blacklight on. Blacklight tattoos are typically more expensive, and take longer to complete than regular tattoos. If you're considering getting one, just make sure to find a highly experienced tattooist who has experience doing UV tattoos.
