    Joint ownership
I purchased a home with my exhusband where we both lived for 4 years he put the money down to get us in, while I paid the majority of the joint bills. He has been abusive in the past and I left due to his hot temper with myself and 16 year old son. Now he says he can sue me for the downpayment beause he can't afford the mortgage payment on his own.
The house is listed with a realtor and he has possession of the home I told him I do not want a penny of it he can have everything which will be over and above what he put down.
What are my responsibilties to him even though I am not in the house.

That depends on your divorce settlement. This type of thing is negotiating as part of the divorce.

You will be listed on the mortgage, if he does not pay, they may come after you,

Beyond that it will be up to the divorce court as to the division of property and debt
