Hello,
I have a 16hp Briggs and Stratton engine horizontal engine. Mounted on a home-made
Logsplitter Model#401417-0127-0127-01 Cranks fine but no spark. Has point type ignition
But the armature is very corroded and wires are chewed through by mouse. Replacement
Armature is superceded to Magnetron style. Not sure how to hook this one up.

There is really only one wire. The kill wire. Everything else should be self contained.

You should lightly sand the magnets and set the gap of the coil poles. Guess is about 0.010 or about the thickness of 3 index cards.

Cap and points aren't needed.
