I have switched from an old A/C, Heating Thermostat to a TX 500 Thermostat. Thing is I have black, blue (which I know is the "C" wire), red, yellow and white. How do I hook this up so both the A/C and Heat work when I need it to?

Is this a heat pump system with ? This thermostat will only work on single stage heat units not a heat pump and electric/gas/oil furnace!
Below is a electronic version of your instructions

Please list the wire color and the letter (W,R,G,Y,etc) where the other wires were located on the old thermostat
Well... I don't know about heat pump or not since I live in an apartment.
The old model had these color wires, 6 total: Blue, Black, Green, Red, White, and Yellow.
My TX 500 has G, Y, W, RH, and RC. I know that blue is C and gets taped down. Other than that, I'm unsure how to get it working and to turn on.
I believe you have a heat pump and the thermostat you have will not work. This is from the limited information you have posted.
Once again for the second time
Please list the wire color and the letter (W,R,G,Y,etc) where the other wires were located on the old thermostat
I am sure you marked them as it says in the instructions?

Look, I'm hot and tired... So, before you think of responding anymore to me, think how what you wrote to me comes across. Don't ever talk to me llike I'm an idiot again. I won't post on this site again as I was so rudely responded to. Grow some manners!
Okay, HAVC, first off, let me apologize for my temper there. You're right I needed to provide more info. So here's all the info:
OLD MODEL
Blue wire - c
Black wire - b
Green wire - g
Yellow wire - y
White - e and w2
Red - r
Again, my apologies for getting upset too quick. I flagged my comment as I knew it was rude of me
