OK I have recently been with her for about a month but her last boyfriend was her first real relationship and I think she still has feelings for him even though it turned out to be a bad relationship like he cheated on her and stuff and she ended up breaking up with him and he still isn't over her and her him I think but she is trying to move on and I just don't want to loose her.

I have to ask, what makes you think she's not over him?

Chances are, if he was her first boyfriend, and a serious one at that, she won't get over him for some time. How long were they together? How long did she take to get over him before she started dating you?

If she's not over him, sorry bud, this doesn't look like this will end well.

I think they were together a while, I think she still has feelings for him because sometimes she tells me she hates him for using her then like tonight she gave him a hug.. confused me a lot. And I think it took her a few months before she started to date me

Okay from a female perspective I have to ask... Have you just straight out asked her how she feels about her ex? I think being open and honest would be refreshing (considering her ex wasn't) as long as you were mature enough to handle her answer if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. Which I'm sure you are I didn't mean that in a rude way, I'm only concerned that you'll hurt the relationship if you ask and she's honest and then you react badly. Good luck!

Have fun dating and keep your expectations very realistic. This is the time to get to know one another, and see if your compatible as your both strangers still.

Make no assumptions at this point, and don't just give her your whole heart either, as its important to keep a healthy balance in your life, at this stage of dating.
