    Furnace Circuit Board?
My furnace won't come on. This happened once last year and was told that there may be a shortage in the circuit board, and it'll have to be replaced if it happens again. They told me a sure sign would be if I had a problem with the ac coming on in the summer. Well, no problem with the ac this year and furnace was working fine up until now. What do you recommend I do for tonight and how much should I expect to spend for a technician to replace a Carrier furnace circuit board?

Stay warm and call a service person on Monday to fix your unit. Naturally this should have been done sometime back so you could be warm now.

Prices vary all across the nation depending upon the local labor rate and the mark up on parts. If you call this weekend you will usually pay 2X the normal cost since most companys only work monday-friday and charge extra for work on weekends.

When you say the furnace won't come on do you mean it does nothing at all? Is this a high efficiency furnace? Does it have a circuit board? Try turning the power off for a minute and then see if it does anything. See if their are any LED light flashing on the board. We need a lot more info to help.
