State Water Heater Blower Motor won't shut off-Fix
In response to those with the above problem, I was running downstairs all the time to tap on the blower control switch locatedin front of the gas valve, and it was driving me nuts. I inserted a piece of aluminum foil between the switch and the metal pole it slides in on. I have cycled the water heater 10x and it seems to have resolved the issue. I believe that the foil helps carry the current between the switch and the pole as it appears there is a slight gap between the two. Perhaps over time the switch builds up resistance as it starts to fail and the foil helps to improve the current transfer. Any comments welcome.
