    Tall women.attractive?
The media puts tall women on a pedestal. Models are tall, and that is what most women strive to be. I am 5'8'' (which is tall) and at my High School I feel like the shorter women are more attractive to the men. I think tall women come off as intimidating.

So is it really true? Is a model really most attractive in society?

I never had a problem attracting men and I'm 5'11".

I think it all depends. Of course a shorter man isn't going to want a girlfriend who is taller than him, but most taller guys like taller girls, at least in my experience.

Have you thought of modeling? That's so tall!

I'm 38 years old, modelling is no longer an option. ;)

My cousins ex-wife was 6'4", now she was tall, and gorgeous to boot. She was too tall for most men. Funny thing, my cousin is shorter than me, only 5'7", so I guess that my statement of shorter men not wanting a tall women, isn't always true. :)

Most men don't mind at all about height.
I'm only 5'2" but as tall men who have asked me out have commented height makes no difference when you're lying down. Yes I attract men that classy!

Usually only men who are shallow and of mild character put REAL significance over something like a girl's height. A lot of magazines get sold talking like it's important, though. That's for sure.

You're not tall, you're just right. You're exactly how you are supposed to be, regardless of anyone else's opinion to the contrary (if any).

Don't pay attention to the media...
All those air-brushed, photoshopped, make-up covered models look awful, to me. Don't even look real. Like cartoon characters. They're not real, and not even human! Please please please don't compare yourself to those so called "models."

The girls I've dated have been fairly short, but that seems to be the average where I am. I don't really care about the height. Although, I do have to say, taller girls are easier to kiss when standing up;).
If the girl is funny, smart, responsible, fun, and social, the height doesn't really matter so much.

At 5'8'', you have nothing to complain about. :)

There's a saying in italy, which is basically, "height is half of beauty." the idea is that tall people are especially beautiful to begin with.

Actually, 5'8'' is the height at which model height begins. Kate moss is 5'7'', but she's an exception to the rule. The reason tall models are chosen is because clothing generally just seems to look better on longer bodies. A model is like a hanger. That's also why they're skinny. :)

You're under the average height for north american men, so you really don't have to worry about being too tall for them either.

While my mother is 5'9'', my dad is 5'10'', and my childhood doctor predicted I would be at least 5'7'', I am a permanent 5'3'' (and a half). :) I would like to be taller, but there's nothing I can do about that, is there? Lol. People who have straight hair want curly hair. People who have curly hair want straight hair. People with brown eyes want blue eyes. People with blue eyes want brown eyes. Just be happy you're a beautiful girl!

As for that photo, well, who would mind looking like one of them? :)

KP, you are so right. Tall, short, pudgy, skinny, light, dark, blue eyes, brown eyes, no matter what you have. Just remember, there's no one else in the world like you, you are special, so accept what you have, own it, it's all yours and no one can take it away from you. :)
