Goodman furnace with loud blower fan
I recently moved to a new home with a Goodman furnace. It seems to function well, but there is excessive wind noise coming through the ducts. Is there any way to quiet down this system? Closing the vent ducts just makes it nosier. It is hard to sleep at night when the furnace kicks on.

Probably the best thig to do is call for a ON SITE inspection by a professional HVAC person. The blower might be able to be slowed down but care must be taken to make sure that enough air will be blown across the heat section to prevent damage and offer proper operation. Naturally a tool is used or a calculation is made in order to make sure the operation of the equipment is kept within the safety operating range.
