    Staring an estate sale business
I want to start an estate sale business from my home. I am an avid garage sale buyer and dumpster diver. I have been selling on Ebay but now want to venture out with my own business. Can anyone tell me how I get started and what I need as far as licensing and bonding. I live in Arizona where this type of business is flourishing unfortunately due to the housing market. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.;)

My idea of an 'estate sale' from going to some is a liquidation of a deceased person's personal property after death. As you will be collecting your sale items from various venues, I don't think you can call it that. It is misleading; it would be to me. Estate sale items have never been for sale before and are usually good picks and some antiques.

As it is in your own home, your insurance will have to be updated covering people in and out who may trip and fall and you wouldn't want a lawsuit on your hands. Also if you have some valuable items you would want them covered for theft.

Check with your local state laws and if your state charges tax, you probably will have to take that into consideration as well.
