Going from non-permanent black to natural blonde
I have naturally dirty blonde hair and I started dyeing it permanent black 6 months ago. About 3 months ago, I decided to start using NON-permanent black on the roots, and have doing so ever since. So, I now have about 3 inches of non-permanent black on top, and lots of inches of permanent black afterwards.

Now, my plan for the time-being is to continue using the non-permanent black dye and gradually cut my hair, so in the end my hair will only have non-permanent black on it.

My question: Once my hair is all non-permanent, what would be the best route from there to get back to my blonde hair?

NOTE: I am NOT in any rush here. I like the black (for now), but I figured the non-permanent would be gentler on my hair in the meantime. My hope was that, if I do have to bleach or strip it (eek!), the non-permanent dye would entail less damage to my hair.

Black is difficult to get out.
When you colour your hair with the semi, so you apply the colour onto already coloured hair? Because the colour usually builds up. If that makes sense. Lol :P

Yeah, it's kind of being applied over the permanent color as well, but over time (maybe a lot of time), I'm going to keep using non-permanent on the roots and cut my hair, so eventually it will all be non-permanent color in my hair. Does that make sense?

I know it's hard to get out, I've read numerous boards on it. I just wasn't sure what I should do with the non-permanent color, since I haven't seen that particularly be answered.
