I am a uk citizen with a brazilian boyfried- he has residency and the right to work in portugal and I have been living with him there for 6 months. I have had to retun to england to complete my studies and am looking at options in how to continue living with him here and how he could get a uk work permit. He wants to study english here but in order to support himself he will need to work also. We have talked about marriage in the future but I do not want to hurry that process just for visa purposes.
Is there any way he can apply for a student visa and work part time?
Are there any alternatives to a full-on marriage (ie civil partnership) which would allow him to work and study in the uk?
