Could anyone please outline the process of receiving the inheritance from a foreign country? What are the steps and requirements?
I waas told that I am next in kin to a large fund of deceased owner, a relative who lived in Asia. I was contacted by the deceased's attorney and was told that I need apply for their legal approval before approaching the bank. Is that something sounding as a true?

And how I can check this attorney's credentials knowing his full name?

Best to go to singapore yourself, hire a lawyer that is based there, let the 2 lawyers talk and be accompanied by a trusted relative

Ur question is like asking online if your are pregnant, of course everyone will just tell you to visit a doctor.

Even before buying a property it is still best to hire a lawyer first and make it right at the very start than hire one if there's already a problem... and leash out moooooore funds because its irreparable.

I'm not an expert on inheritance... But, I AM an expert on scams, and this sounds like one. If you're in line to receive an inheritance, I wouldn't think you'd have to apply for ANYTHING.

One clue into a scam, is if the attorney or whomever is asking you to send them money FIRST, or if they're going to send a check and want you to cash it and send them money.

If it's legit, you RECEIVE money - you don't SEND it.

You can hire a lawyer to represent you, and I would.
