Do you get any type of error?
Can you or have you tried to print anything else other than mail just to check printer?
Any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any software or hardware that you installed or setup.
All other printing is fine (email in plain text - or from any other programs) it seemed to have started when I got an adware - spyware notice saying that my computer was compermised. I loaded AVG anti virus & adware program and it cleaned off all spyware and adware (and the message). Now I can't print HTML email messages and my System Restore is not working nor is my Search tool in windows explorer. I'm about to pull my hair put with this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

See if this will help getting system restore enabled
Disabling or enabling Windows XP System Restore
If th;is works, see if there may be a possible restore point left, don't really know if restore points were removed or not when avg was installed
Maybe trying to re-apply this update may help even if you already have it
